I think it's mostly personally preference but for me, I'd prefer the FPS advantage of the 3.7" barrel and the slightly longer sight radius of the XL slide over the slight amount of recoil reduction offered by the M-Macro's comped slide and 3.1" barrel. The big difference is where the SIG Comp slide is pretty solid, the Shalotek comp is outstanding. Call it the internal angles, the port size, whatever it is, the Shalotek comped slides simply work better. The other details of the slide are also well done.
