This is a hot take but people only think Okumura is shit because of the difficulty spike. I think if the game had introduced the idea of forcing the player to use baton pass to win throughout the palace in easier fights then people would’ve been more prepared and taken the boss as a final test rather than a fuck you.

The only OG boss fight that I enjoyed in Royal was Sae, simply because they changed up the roulette to include elements instead. The boss fights in Royal was made so much easier then they threw in a badly designed boss fight in Okumura where people would actually recommend setting the difficulty to Merciless for an "easier" time.
