We traveled to Beaver Island with our luggage and bikes on the ferry. The Beaver Island Lodge van was there when we stepped off the ferry and immediately took our luggage to the lodge and we road our bikes there (less than a mile). We had a great room with a kitchenette. This current owner is trying to monopolize the restaurant business on Beaver Island. In the last few years his inheritance has purchased The Shamrock, The Beachcomber, The Harbor Market, Daddy Franks Ice cream shop, The Stoney Acre bar and grill, and finally The Beaver Island Lodge. There are only two other restaurants left. Thank God for them.
