I physically opened the hood on a YTH26V54; the engine definitely says Professional, does not say Intek. This is why I raised the question about the Kawasaki 26hp FR vs B&S 26hp Professional. A couple points-. Kawi makes a good engine, but they don't make an 852cc 31hp. The 31 is the 921v which is 999 cc same as the 35 hp 1000v. The 852 comes in 24.5 (was 27under old inaccurate system), 25.5 (was 29 under old inaccurate system) and 27 hp (which was 31 under old inaccurate system, but hasn't been for three years now).Every mechanic I talked to when I was shopping for mine said the Kawa is a much better engine than the Briggs and Straton.
