Thank you for the reply. I have an iPhone 8plus. I have restarted as per your suggestion however it did not solve the problem. I have no issue opening photos from my photo app. Just photos in the messages app. The photo that was sent showes only as a box that says download, when I press it, it says downloading, but nothing happens.
