FFXIV (Verified Game) not detecting controller inputs from Steam Deck. I've browsed around online and a lot of the solutions seem far too convoluted for a simple "Detect the damn game inputs" for a game that is supposed to be Steam Deck Verified. Has anyone run into this issue? The calibration in game just doesn't detect a single input. comments.

Wish I could say I had more experience with FFXIV on deck, but there hasn't been a game I haven't been able to run yet with bottles. Generally my process is add as non-steam game. If if doesn't work, protontricks any dependencies that might be missing. If that fails, I go ahead and try the same in Lutris.
