Ford f150 turns over but wont start.

The last few days have been relatively cold in TX. 1st morning, truck would start but not stay running or hold above 500 RPM. Took me about 5 mins to finally get enough RPM to get going. This morning, would not start at all but then finally did and seemed to spew / burn some oil out of the pipe. If it's stuck open - hard to maintain pressure.
